This series of graphics shows the
difference in TIN accuracy affected by additional points and supplemental
contours. Points were added between contours in areas where interpolation
errors occurred; flat triangles are the result of the three nodes of a
triangle being sampled from the same contour and thus having the same elevation.
This most likely occurs along ridge lines and valley bottoms where contours
are tightly curved and/or spaced far apart such as along a gently ascending
ridge line.
